Treatment for Sexually Abusive Behaviors

The primary mission of Eagle Quest’s program for adolescents who have engaged in sexually abusive behaviors is to reduce the risk of our youth to engage in harmful behaviors and to increase their ability to live healthy, satisfying lives by utilizing best practices. We assist the youth in exploring the sources of their thinking patterns, how they build over time, how to change them and how to think and behave differently. We provide a wide array of strengths-based mental health services to youth as determined clinically necessary to assist them in achieving these goals.

Comprehensive Treatment for youth with unique needs.

Specialized Programming: Eagle Quest’s treatment program for sexually abusive behaviors is based on current research and treatment materials that are evidenced based and show the best results for reducing the risk of future sexually abusive behaviors. Our program adheres to ATSA (Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers) practice guidelines. We the use the Good Lives Model; Risk, Needs, and Responsivity (RNR) principles as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to address the identified behaviors. We also treat the youth’s own trauma if present. Eagle Quest partners with providers and agencies in the community to facilitate reunification with families when appropriate.

Trained staff: Eagle Quest has been providing care and supervision to youth who have engaged in sexually abusive behavior for over 10 years. Our clinicians and rehabilitative mental health workers receive ongoing specialized training to help youth who have poor boundaries and/or sexually abusive behavior. All services are supervised by Certified Sex Offender Treatment Professionals (CSOTP). Clinicians are also active participants in the local ATSA chapter to help professionals meet, network, and collaborate with each other to share evidenced based treatment practices, effective management strategies, and advocate for the public to prevent future sexual abuse.
