Trent Hansen, LCSW

Director of Clinical Services

Trent Hansen began his mental health career on the front lines, working over three years in Utah as a direct care staff at a wilderness therapy program for troubled youth, at a long-term care state hospital, and at a short-term acute psychiatric hospital. As part of his university education, he received two years of training in counseling mentally ill youth, adults, and court ordered clients. After completing his Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Utah, he returned home to Las Vegas, NV, and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Trent worked nearly four years at a residential treatment center, providing individual, family, and group therapy to youth with mental health and sexual behavior problems. Next, he worked at one of the largest outpatient psychotherapy clinics in town, helping a wide variety of clients with many different problems, and on weekends traveled to emergency rooms to do acute mental health evaluations. He then returned to treating adolescents in a group home setting and joined Eagle Quest in 2011.

As Clinical Director at Eagle Quest, Trent continues to help at-risk youth and families, foster care clients, and youth and adults in the community. He leads Eagle Quest’s clinical team in using evidenced-based practices and assuring successful outcomes. He has helped expand Eagle Quest’s services to include substance abuse treatment to meet the community’s needs. In helping clients, he individualizes treatment to each client, and has skills and training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy. He also obtained additional training to become a Certified Sex Offender Treatment Professional (CSOTP). He works closely with the community leaders, helping the agency partner with the Department of Juvenile Justice, Family Services, and the Division of Child and Family Services. Trent is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA), and has been the chair of the JSO Coalition of Clark County (2014-2016) and Interim-President of the Nevada ATSA chapter (2015-2016). Trent enjoys travel and loves new technology, music, and reading psychology related books.

Trish Lee

JSO Program Supervisor

Trish Lee knew from a very early age that she was a “helper” and wanted to work with children. At 17 she declared herself a Psychology Major at a University in the North East. Trish was a crisis hotline worker through college until she earned her Bachelors of Science and moved to Las Vegas to work with at risk youth. She has been supervising a staff run therapeutic home since 2001. This home is a comprehensive treatment program to help teenage boys who have become involved with the juvenile justice system. Trish finds this work very rewarding and still receives regular visits and calls from the young men she helped long ago. Some of these young men are now in their 30’s and are husbands, fathers, soldiers, mentors and productive members of society. Eagle Quest has provided Trish the opportunity to expand her role and start other programs to help children with no legal trouble, but still in need of guidance and healing. She uses a firm but fair approach with the children she works with and is very empathetic. Trish enjoys creating art, snowboarding and gardening. She is an animal lover and works tirelessly with local rescue groups to save furry friends.

Nikki Gwyn

Community Based Services Supervisor

Nicole was born and raised in San Francisco, CA where she first found her passion working with and on behalf of at-risk youth and families. Nicole earned a Bachelors degree in Sociology while maintaining internships wherein she worked at a battered women’s shelter, the San Francisco county jail, a LGBT resource center and a sex education outreach center. She relocated to Las Vegas in 2007, and began working for Eagle Quest in 2009. Since her tenure with Eagle Quest began, Nicole has earned a Masters in Non Profit Administration and is now apart of the management team. In her spare time, Nicole enjoys hiking, road trips, and time with family and friends.

Edylynn Quijano

Programming Coordinator

This Las Vegas native had an “ah-ha moment” when she volunteered in a program called Wednesday’s Child in 7th grade. At this event, she found out and faced first hand what foster care was and realized how lucky she was to have a family. Since then, Edylynn has dedicated her life to being an advocate for at-risk youth and families. She studied Psychology at UNLV, and held the positions of Philanthropy Chair and Social Chair at Delta Zeta Sorority. As Philanthropy Chair, Edylynn worked with children in Safe Key, visited Children’s Hospital, and volunteered many hours for speech and hearing organizations for tutoring and fundraising initiatives. In her spare time, she enjoys arts and craft projects, reading, yoga and singing karokee.

Alyssa Palmer

Office Manager

Alyssa is a friendly, outgoing Las Vegas native. Her mother was also born and raised in Las Vegas, NV allowing many years of relating to the youth and community of Southern Nevada. Alyssa graduated from Centennial High School and later earned a Bachelors degree in Human Services Counseling from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Her undergraduate program required an internship, and it allowed her to familiarize herself with Eagle Quest and get her foot in the door. Not long afterward, in 2010, she transitioned into the role of Office Manager. Alyssa is now completing her Masters degree in Accounting. She loves children and while she may not have everyday interactions with the youth and families Eagle Quest serve, she is still part of the larger picture.

Erik Snoreen

Operations Supervisor

Erik is a veteran of the Air Force where he served in Germany for 5 years as a Security Police officer. He graduated from UNLV (Go Rebels!) in 2009 with a degree in Biology. Originally he was planning to attend medical school, but during his involvement with a local inner city program he found his calling while working the kids. Most of the kids were at-risk or underprivileged and needed love and support. Erik felt drawn to a position where he could show these hurting kids that they DID matter, that there are people who do care. Upon graduation he started working with Eagle Quest, initially as an RMH Specialist and then moving on to the Activities Department. Erik is now the Activities Supervisor at Eagle Quest and is truly thankful for the opportunities he has to make a difference. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and baby boy.

John Kendzior

Information Technology Supervisor

John has been building Web sites since the creation of the “World Wide Web”. After graduating from college with a degree in Psychology/Biology the plan was to go directly into Graduate School and gain a doctoral degree working as a Research Analyst. However after taking his first job at a non-profit research publishing organization, the director needed someone to get data out to the World… ASAP! John immediately said, “I can do that”. Soon after that John combined his two true loves: data and this new technology that allowed millions to access information right from the comfort of one’s home. Plans changed and his new life began, sitting behind a computer for hours on end and he could not be happier.

John joined Eagle Quest since 2011 and currently serves as the Information Technology Supervisor. Together with his team, they work on both the public Web sites and the intranet that allows employees and parents to do their daily work. In his free time he enjoys volunteering, reading, playing/watching tennis, and traveling.
